Preparing The Server
The easiest way to install the panel is using
vessel on top of it. Here's how.
SSH to your Server
You need to
SSH to your server as
root to begin the installation procedure.
Run this command to update the repository and installing
sudo apt update && apt install docker.io docker-compose -y
Press [ENTER] and your server will begin the installation process.
Once the installation is completed. Verify the installation by running the command below.
it should output similar to image below.
docker-compose as well
If the output is as the image above. Then
Docker is successfully installed on your server! Congratulations 🎉
Setup Deployment User
We don't want
root user operating the panel. Let's create new user.
In this example, we use
sshpanel as the user, but you can use other username you find suitable.
sudo adduser sshpanel
it will ask for password for the user. Set secure password for the user.
and it will ask for the user details. You can just type enter and left it blank.
Once the user has been created, Give it access to
sudo usermod -aG sudo sshpanel
sudo usermod -aG docker sshpanel
The docker has been setup & the non-root user has been created! Now go to the next step!
